PROJECT OVERVIEW
Our main goal for this project was in collaboration with a business student from school. Our job was to pitch an idea for a company to a panel of design students along with business students. After each student created a pitch for a product similar to a Shark Tank type of scenario. We voted on which student had the best pitch. I had the third best pitch out of all the students. Now that my business was one of the students who was chosen it was then my job to build a team in order to make my product come to life. So with the help of a few business students we created a plan to build our company. This was how The Swapper was created.
My job as the design student was to create branding, marketing and product designs for our company. The business students were in charge of handling the business side of it. So from there we started our adventure in order make The Swapper a successful business.
Inspirations/Explorations
To begin the design process, I had to do extensive research to better understand how other successful baby clothing companies were showcasing their brand. This visual field highlights several companies that are similar to The Swapper brand. These companies provide icons along with package and clothing design that help parents navigate through the life of a infant. The logos, use of color and design were compared and analyzed to determine what components were working for the brand and what could be improved. I wanted to create a brand that would be competitive in the marketplace while maintaining its core values of kindness, comfortability and community.

Ephemera
Some of the ephemera we had to create for our mock company was a stationary set, package, website, and other versions of other items we would offer for our company, I created some clothes along with a mock up of our actual product.
